WHY BRUSHING GENTLY IS BETTER THAN BRUSHING HARD?
The enamel covering the top of your teeth is the hardest part of your body, but your teeth actually need to be treated gently. It is proven that soft brushing is three times more effective since soft toothbrushes have flexible bristles that can cover the entire shape of your tooth. A common problem for people using a hard toothbrush is that they often neglect to clean the edges of the gum because it hurts to brush them. But those edges are exactly the areas where bacteria thrive, causing gum inflammation. Scrubbing your teeth vigorously with hard bristles will result in a receding gum line while using a toothbrush with soft filaments will remove dental plaque gently without damaging your gums.
When choosing a toothbrush, ask yourself: What kind of a ritual would I like to have on a daily basis? A gentle one that leaves me feeling refreshed, or a rough, painful one?
GENTLE ON TEETH AND GUMS
The CURAPROX Baby toothbrush is known and recommended by dental professionals across the globe! Why? Because is it hard on plaque and gentle on teeth and gums. Once you’ve tried these brushes you won’t go back./p>
A good quality toothbrush should be expected to last for 3 months of daily use and still be in good condition.
Small and compact head
The compact head help you get all those hard-to-reach-spots, such as behind the molars and pre molars. It’s also slightly bent for optimal cleaning.
CUREN® filaments
Instead of conventional nylon bristles, our toothbrush is composed of CUREN® filaments which are very durable as they do not absorb water, allowing them to maintain their firmness.
BEST BRUSHING TECHNIQUE
There are many different techniques to brush teeth, but there is one that is proven to work for everyone and provide optimal results.
Hold the brush at an 45° angle
Half of your gums and half of your teeth should be covered by the bristles. Holding the brush like a pen also helps to get the perfect angle.
Clean gently
Apply minimal or no pressure at all.
Small circles
Move in small circles, starting from the most difficult places.
KNOW WHEN TO CHANGE YOUR TOOTHBRUSH
Not replacing a toothbrush when it is due can not only impact the quality of regular brushing efficiency, but also put you at risk of infection and disease. There are three instances when you should think about changing your toothbrush.
- Every three months. Even with proper rinsing, bacteria can accumulate in the brush and due to mechanical wear, an overused toothbrush no longer properly removes plaque.
- After every illness. Germs can survive and replicate on the toothbrush even after you recover from an illness, hence you should always replace it afterwards even if the brush hasn’t been used for a long time.
- If the toothbrush wears too quickly. Some people will wear their brushes sooner than 3 months, which is often a sign of using a hard brushing technique.
